Lead Solution Architect

We are currently seeking a Lead Solution Architect and Developer Relations (DevRel) to join our team, combining pre-sales expertise with a passion for community engagement and technical leadership. This role is central to our mission, requiring someone to champion Dropsolid to our potential clients, develop comprehensive technical solutions that meet their business needs, and ensure accurate estimates for consulting services and infrastructure.

Role Summary:

The Lead Solution Architect open DXP and DevRel open DXP at Dropsolid will be a hybrid role that not only focuses on architecting digital solutions but also engages with the developer community, fostering relationships and driving innovation. This role involves working closely with clients across various sectors—from startups to large enterprises—and advising them on how to leverage Dropsolid's offerings for maximum impact. You'll conduct research, scope projects, and present tailored solutions for enterprise-grade websites/CMS/DXPs and applications. 
Aside from your sales responsibilities you’ll be working directly and intimately with clients on their projects. Your role requires you to keep an overview on a technical level. You’ll need to be connecting the dots at all times which will require deep knowledge of our offering, the clients situation and general technical solutions. Your goal will be to create viable and executable projects often starting from minimal requirements and a high level of uncertainty. You need to do so while managing the risks of the project and making sure expectation are clear for all parties involved. You’ll be proposing, defending and advocating architectural solutions to problems.
Occasional travel around Europe and US may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-sales engagements, assisting Sales teams in surpassing revenue goals.
  • Conduct discovery workshops with clients to understand their challenges and business needs.
  • Craft customized presentations, demonstrations, and prototypes to showcase the business value of our solutions to C-level clients together with CEO and CRO of Dropsolid.
  • Architect comprehensive web solutions for enterprise clients, encompassing front-end, back-end, and infrastructure considerations with a focus on open DXP.
  • Engage with and support the developer community, promoting Dropsolid’s technology and contributing to open-source projects.
  • Provide feedback and insights from customers to guide the development of new products and improvements together with Director of engineering.

  • Prior experience with defining and executing application architecture is required.
  • A strong foundation in Drupal, Mautic and application architecture.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, intelligence, initiative, and the capacity to excel under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • A deep passion for the web, open-source technology, and for contributing to the growth of a vibrant start-up/Scale-up.
  • An enthusiastic interest in learning about Drupal, Mautic, Unomi, … relevant WCM (Web Content Management,) DXP application architecture, and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Previous consulting experience is highly desirable.
