Wall with DROPSOLID WAS HERE

From April 15th to 18th, the Drupal Dev Days took place in Leuven, Belgium. And yes, we were there! More than just present, we were fully engaged across the board: as sponsors, contributors, speakers, and organisers.

Or, as students still love to carve into the benches (or metaphorically into the walls): DROPSOLID WAS HERE.

Let’s look back at what made this event legendary.

(P.S. This picture is an AI generated picture of DROPSOLID WAS HERE, scratched in wood surface or a toilet wall. Just to be clear - we would never do that in real life.)

Showing Up — as Sponsor, Organizer and Speaker

Proud Platinum Sponsor

First off, Dropsolid was a proud Platinum Sponsor of Drupal Dev Days. We believe in the value of community-led events, and our support helps ensure accessibility for developers, students, and contributors from around the world.

Helping the organisation

But we didn’t just sponsor — we rolled up our sleeves too. We were part of the organisation team. We helped making sure everybody had an awesome time.

Some of the highlights?

  • The best Belgian chocolates
  • An incredible venue
  • A brewery visit and pub crawl
  • Top notch headlines and keynote speakers

Talking about cutting-edge technology development

And on stage? No fewer than 5 Dropsolid colleagues took the mic to share insights, tools, and inspiration. From architecture deep-dives to AI-powered workflows, our team brought real-world experience to a curious and engaged audience.

AI was a hot topic throughout the event, and our colleague Frederik led a session about AI into Drupal. Curious about the content? Check out the slides of the presentation here

Booth Experience - Working for a European Leader

At Drupal Dev Days 2025, we were excited to showcase our expertise and connect with the community at our Dropsolid booth. Our HR-team was present, ready to engage with professionals looking to work at a great company leading efforts in Drupal and AI. Whether you’re an experienced developer, an AI enthusiast, or a digital strategist, at Dropsolid, you’ll find an inspiring, collaborative environment where innovation thrives.

Working on our Global Connections

It wasn’t just about recruitment. Some of Dropsolid's leadership team was in Leuven for strategic discussions with potential partners from all over the world. We explored AI-related grants and collaboration opportunities that align with our vision for the future of digital experience platforms.

Making The Trail

And of course, there were exciting conversations about what’s coming next.

Frederik and Dominique met with several European partners and key Drupal officials to explore new, exciting opportunities. And there’s something brewing - quite literally (and it’s not beer). While we can’t share too much just yet, we’re working on something innovative and game-changing. Stay tuned — you’ll hear more about this soon.

Dropsolid and the Open DXP

At Dropsolid, we believe in Open Digital Experience Platforms (Open DXP) — platforms that give organisations the flexibility of open source with the power of integrated data, personalisation, and AI.

Our active role in events like Drupal Dev Days reflects our commitment to the open web. Whether it’s through building smarter tools, helping clients navigate complexity, or sharing what we’ve learned, we want to keep driving the ecosystem forward.

Dropsolid is a european leader in the DXP space with our Open DXP. We’re not ignoring the new trends with AI. Want to know more?

Let's Keep the Conversation Going

We left Leuven inspired, tired, and grateful. And we’re already looking forward to what’s next.

If you want to explore what Open DXP, Drupal, or AI can mean for your organisation — or if you're just curious about the latest ideas from the community — we’d love to connect.
